Keyways Vineyard and Winery was founded in 1989 by Mr. Carl Key and is one of the original wineries established in the Temecula Valley Wine Country. Today, it is under the ownership of Terri Delhamer, and is the only woman owned winery in all of Temecula, CA. Keyways charming ambiance and early California styling are warm and inviting, which is only one of the things that sets us apart from the other Temecula Wineries.
We want Keyways Winery to be a place where you can relax with friends and family, enjoy fine wine, and not enduring the additional stress of wondering if you are under-dressed. The goal of Keyways Winery is to exceed every expectation with outstanding wine, exceptional service, and an unforgettable experience. To “Share the Romance” of Wine Country. The three words that set the wine at Keyways Winery apart from the competition: Estate and Numerous Varietals.
Keyways Vineyard and Winery is located at the enchanting confluence of horse country and Wine Country in beautiful Temecula Valley Wine Country. With spectacular views and amazing wine, you will rethink how wine tasting is supposed to be. It sometimes takes a woman’s natural instinct for beauty and hospitality to transform something from average to beyond expectations, and that is exactly the path Keyways Vineyard and Winery has taken. With so many wineries in the already beautiful Temecula Valley Wine Country, it takes something even better to really set a presence. With this in mind, the owner Terri, renovated and re-landscaped the entire Keyways Vineyard & Winery estate to reflect the warmth, charm and ambiance of early California, which is better complimented by the multiple vineyards and picturesque mountains, as well as the expansive horse ranches. Speaking of which, Keyways Vineyard & Winery is equestrian friendly so feel free to bring the family (you and your horses) for a great time of wine tasting and social interaction.
More about Keyways Winery:
Our Wine Maker, David Raffaele, developed a passion for wine while living in Italy for six years. As a writer and photographer, he spent a lot of time in the Italian countryside absorbing the culturala spects of the land, capturing the “essence” of Mediterranean living. It was only a matter of time before David discovered and became enamored with Italy’s prolific and enduring wine legacy, which made him think of beginning a career in wine-making.
After returning to the United States, David soon realized that California also harbored a flourishing wine industry and sought out an apprenticeship at Maurice Car’rie Vineyard and Winery in Temecula Valley Wine Country. Under the tutelage of award-winning winemaker Gus Vizgirda, David learned the art and science behind great winemaking. He supplemented his hands-on training with formal educations in wine chemistry and viticulture. After more than three years as an apprentice, David was selected as the new wine-maker for Keyways.
David’s focus lies in producing limited-production, hand-crafted wines that emphasize Temecula Valley Wine Country’s unique terroir, while exuding style, varietal expression and depth. His passion and experience have led to an innumerable amount of wines that have incredible tastes and aromas, something you can only find at the Keyways Vineyard & Winery in the Temecula Valley Wine Country.
